A native of SC, Dr. Mayes earned a business degree from Furman where he was part of their Nationally Ranked Division I Soccer Team. He then launched a successful corporate career and lived abroad before pursuing his passion for physical therapy and opening Iron PT in 2011.

Dr. Mayes is well respected by athletes and has been quoted by Runner's World Magazine and interviewed by ABC news.

He holds certifications in ART, Graston Technique, Dry Needling, The Mckenzie Method, Spinal  Manipulation, and Kinesio Taping.

Dr. Wortman earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Richard Stockton College of NJ in 2008. She has distinguished herself as a Manager, Clinical Instructor and Senior Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Dr. Wortman has completed rigorous courses in Active Release Technique (ART), The McKenzie Method, Kineo Taping, Spinal Manipulation and IASTM. She's also an avid runner and CrossFitter certified as a Level 1 Trainer. Click to read interview with Dr. Wortman...

Hanna Schenkman

Dr. Schenkman earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. She has worked in a variety of outpatient settings and brings a strong background in athletics including experience in college swimming, track/field, and tennis. She also loves staying active doing CrossFit, snowboarding and hiking with her family.

Dr. Schenkman is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and recently completed her certification in the Graston Technique.
