New Year's Resolution Inspiration From Physical Therapists

What says #getbetterbebetter more than a resolution? With the new year right around the corner, there’s no better time to get into a growth mindset than right now! Check out this video to hear our PT’s goals for 2024…

Let’s shift the way we think about change. Instead of setting a New Year’s “Resolution” which can feel vague and unattainable, we prefer to use “Growth Goals” which are specific actions you want to prioritize to get the most out of this life you’ve been given.

Watch this video to hear the goals the DPTs and I have come up with to ring in the new year! They are achievable and specific to promote growth in our lives as opposed to setting one big, scary resolution like “get fitter” or “be more present.”

Check out our pt’s resolutions for 2024:

  1. Dr. Mayes:

    • Swim at least 1x/wk to morph into the shark I wanna be AND

    • Do 1 kettlebell workout/wk to improve my functional mobility.

  2. Dr. Wortman

    • Not look at my phone for the 1st hour of the day

  3. Dr. Payne

    • Prioritize 1 outdoor walk a week on my day off from training (2 is even better)

  4. Dr. Aherne

    • Fix this tall guy poor posture once and for all

  5. Dr. Nardiello

    • Read at least one of the books I bought this year that are currently sitting on my night stand collecting dust
