What should I bring to my first physical therapy appointment?

  • Your Calendar - It’s our policy to book out your entire plan of care after your evaluation so your spot is saved.

  • Prescription - You don’t need a prescription for physical therapy in New Jersey! However, if you already have a script, then certainly bring it along.

  • Clothing - If you’re coming straight from work/school, then you should bring clothes to change into at the clinic. Click here to learn what to wear to PT.

  • Insurance Card - Bring your primary and secondary (if applicable) insurance card(s)

  • Paperwork - In the event you’re unable to fill out the forms online, please come 15-min early

  • MRI/X-Ray - If you’ve had imaging done, bring any results to your appointment.

  • Co-Pay - We will go over your insurance benefits with you before your first visit so you will know your responsibility. We accept cash, check or credit card to cover your portion at the time of each visit. Click here to learn more about insurance at Iron PT.

  • Determination - Most of all, bring a positive attitude and determination! We know that pain can wear you down physically and emotionally, but physical therapy is your time so get the most out of every minute.
