Runner Recovers From Surgery

Wendy has faced adversity with determination and zest for life. Her passion for movement and running is contagious. She worked tirelessly in therapy and at home to get back out on the road as quickly as possible.

In addition to all of her hard work, we loved Wendy's big smile and kind nature. Her work with animals and the community is a testament to her incredibly generous spirit. We know great things are ahead!!

In Her Own Words…

Three Words: Easygoing, generous and hardworking

What brought you to PT? I needed to recuperate from surgery. I had met Dr. Mayes at a stretching clinic. I was impressed by his knowledge of the body and muscles. The clinic was close in proximity, and I liked that Dr. Mayes has similar beliefs for working out.

How would you describe PT? PT allows you the opportunity to heal correctly and relearn how to use muscles properly.

What would you recommend to someone with the same injury? I would recommend staying positive and going to physical therapy because it really does make a difference, especially if you want to get right back to your normal self. Also, outside of PT keep up with your exercises at home or at the gym.

What did I enjoy about the PT experience?  I look back at it my time here and am in disbelief of how far I have come.  I went in on crutches and wearing a boot on my leg. I wasn't able to even get up my stairs.  It is five months later, and I am running again.
